Nope

The sound of screams came from underwater, the human test subject was going through excruciating pain. Water flowing in a blur as alarms went off above, the subject could only watch as everything went black. Above water the researchers could only watch in horror as life systems went down and they lost contact with the subject. As the heart monitor went dead, they both thought it was over.

"Oh god..." the woman scientist gasped out, "...we killed him."

It was the last words she admitted before systems went into critical and sent both of them flying as the machines before them combusted.

And hour later...

The two researchers were taken away in ambulances as they were sent to the hospital where they would face injuries and criminal repercussions by breaking the law and ultimately killing some on accident. No one knew who the human lab rat was as it was all under the table so they labeled it as doe. The lab itself was in a mess but no body was found even though there was a test subject. With unfortunately no proof of someone being there they just drained the pool back into the ocean.

Not knowing just who they released into the free water...
