Nope, second wave incoming

Clean and neat, all the seven babooches were now on the way to the afterlife... but apparently things wouldn't end so easily for our Pink Lilies.

It was after Fira stabbed through the last one that a shriek rang out from the forest, followed by many more shrill screams as one babooch after the other appeared out the woods, throwing themselves off the trees and towards Fira.
Apparently there was still another group nearby, and upon noticing their friend's **** they got enraged.

Literally so, as the furious monkeys threw themselves at Fira... and got swept off their feet by her horizontal cleaving motion.
No, to be precise they got cut in half, their upper half flying off the lower one and rolling on the ground again and again while the beasts gave their final cries.

Like so three monkeys were out. Another five were still charging though, and Fira prepared herself to fend them off while waiting for some support from her companions.
Ryu didn't leave his post and kept defending the rear for any surprise attack, whereas soon enough wind blades flew from Lia's hand to cut down their enemies and decrease Fira's pressure.

After all even as strong as she was, five against one meant some hits would go through and albeit weak, they sheer amount would eventually pose a problem. But there would be no time for them to accumulate, not when the knight herself took down an enemy with almost every swing while Lia also sniped down from the side.

Soon enough the second wave was over and while Fira may have gotten some bruises, the fight itself was quite smooth.
