Ten minutes later, Ji-Hyun hails a cab for the three of you. In a short matter of moments she had Mei all dressed up like her, hair tied up in a bun and your sunglasses on her nose. She has your arm secured in a lock around hers just as Ji-Hyun taught her. For all intents and purposes, you look like a VIP being escorted by two female guards instead of the other way round, and the role reversal ensures that Mei isn't being noticed. Throughout the journey Ji-Hyun makes small conversation, but you realize that she's really giving Mei a primer on what to expect while referring to you. "She's good," you can't help but think to yourself as the driver screeches past bustling corners and choked alleys.

By the time you get off, the secretary wastes no time in pushing your group past the studio doors, clarifying your identities to the guards as Mei walks you forward. You end up passed through throngs of people, trying to make sure that Mei remains close by. The experience reminds you of how lucky you are not to be one of the lesser agents permanently tasked with security detail.

Eventually Mei is taken off your hands, leaving Ji-Hyun to take over so she can get Mei ready for the shoot. You keep your eyes trained on them like a hawk as an endless tide of personnel descends upon Mei - makeup artists, creative directors, photography technicians - all with Ji-Hyun overseeing things to make sure she isn't being put through anything overly difficult or demeaning. There's no doubting it, Ji-Hyun's a mastermind. It almost makes you wonder why you're here when she's already so close to Mei, with everything under cont-
