Chapter 4 by YellowSponge YellowSponge

Is your viewing uninterrupted?

Nope! The doorbell rings.

Ding-dong! It's the doorbell. Probably a package for one of your parents. Or possibly one of those Jehova's Witnesses. Either way, you didn't care if they saw you with your messy hair, make-upless face, and loose shirt and sweatpants. You pause the film with the click of a button and exhale a deep sigh as you push yourself to your feet. You make your way over to the door, swing it open and... There's a pizza delivery?

"Eh... Afternoon, miss."

The guy says as he looks you over with one eyebrow raised, silently judging you. He extends the two large pizzas in equally large boxes.

"That'll be thirty bucks."

You take the pizzas off his hands with a look of confusion. Did your dad order these for you? Unlikely, since he knows you're home alone and can only barely finish one pizza. Was it delivered at the wrong address? You're about to ask, but then you spot two heads looking out the window of the building across the road.

'Little shits...'

You think to yourself as you recognise the giggling faces of the twelve year old twins. They pulled this prank before, but last time, it was on a day your dad was home, and he was able to pay. You thought you heard your neighbours say they disciplined the twins, but apperantly that wasn't enough to not have them do it again. You return your attention to the delivery guy.

"I can pay by card, right?"

You certainly hope so. It's the only form of payment you've got around the house, seeing how your mom and dad both always take their wallets to work.

To your shock, the delivery guy shakes his head.

"Cash only."

"Eh... Well... I don't have any in the house, at the moment. I'm afraid I got pizza pranked. Is there any chance I can write you a check? Or maybe you can come back later? I mean, you've got the address."

The delivery guy does not look amused.

"Look, girl, I've heard these excuses plenty of times, and usually, they end up not paying. Now, you're gonna' have to pay up, in cash, or we're going to have a problem here."

Uh oh. You're running out of ideas here, but you'd better think of something quick. You don't want any trouble, and you've got the feeling he might get the cops involved if you refuse to pay right now.

What do you do?
