"Five questions," Taylor said. "Is it alive?"

"Yes."

"Okay, um, is it a person?"

"No."

"An animal, then?"

"Yep."

"Okay. Is it an animal one would consider a pet?"

"I guess in some places, yeah. One question left."

"Okay, okay, uh...is a mammal?"

"No."

"Is it a duck?"

"Close," John said. "A chicken."

Taylor's eyes glaze over as she tucks her arms into her armpits and struts about.
