Chapter 3
by dendenim
Do you call for an interview?
No
On second thoughts an office job would be too boring for a free spirit like you. The routine would kill you. You toss the paper with the phone number to the trash bin without a second thought and go out for a walk in the neigbourhood.
The neigbourhood you live in is a pretty run down place, where boys normally join the local gang and girls that do not try hard often find themselves doing the sleaziest jobs in town to make ends meet.
As you walk around in the dirty streets, wondering how you'll manage to pay your overdue rent you notice an SUV slowing down to a walking pace alongside you. The side window opens and a bald man with a goatee that you estimate is in his fifties greets you.
"Hello there pretty girl! My name is Jim" he introduces himself.
"Hi! I'm Sylia" you reply, not interrupting your walk. You notice that the car keeps rolling alongside you. It seems that the guy is not interested in simply whistling as he drives by, something you get quite a lot these last two years.
"Me and my partner, Larry, are in the media business. We are currently looking for a fresh face in our area and you, Sylia, are by far the prettiest face we've seen in the neigbourhood" Jim says, leaning back to reveal Larry who sits next to him. Larry looks a bit younger, maybe in his mid forties, is quite small and has a funny looking moustache.
You wonder how they noticed about your face, since they drove up from behind you and the only view you offered them was that of your young tight ass in your tight jeans. Yet you do not forget your manners and say "Thank you Jim, it is really sweet of you to say this"." And of you Larry too, of course." you add leaning towards the car window.
Jim seems to take courage by your easy going manner and asks "Look, we two run an agency. A modeling one. Eeeeh...Very big one. Would you like to come with us for a quick photo shoot to find out how you look on the lens?"
You are suspicious of these two weird looking men and you frown at first. Seeing your frown he takes out two 50 dollar bills and shows them to you through the open window. "It won't be for free of course" he states. "And if you prove to be as good as we think you'll be, there will be much more coming your way with your first contract"
Now, if it's a professional job opportunity, with real money involved and everything, that's something totally different. These people obviously have a respectable company and try to give you a chance for your future.
You still hesitate though and keep weighing your options when Jim opens the door of the SUV for you to get in.
Do you get in the car?
