"Yeah, I know where it is. Come on," you say as you grab her hand. "I'll take you. My parents just left too, I'm kind of homesick already." You have no idea where the cafeteria is. After all, you just started exploring. Who cares though, there are probably signs, or something. The two of you begin walking and talking. Actually, she does most of that talking. You're pretty excited that your parents took off. The two of you keep walking when you see woods ahead of you. You remember the tourguide way back when telling you that the school had extensive hiking trails and a mile or so into the trees, a ropes course.
"Well, the woods. I guess they moved the student center," you laugh nervously. "But I here there are some good trails back here, if you're not too hungry too keep walking."
"Oh...."she sighs.
"What's wrong?" you ask her. (By the way, she told you her name was Cheryl.)
"Hiking through woods reminds me of my boyfriend. He loves camping and hiking," she responds.
"Boyfriend?"
She obviously misses the annoyance in your voice. "Yes," she says, "I miss him so much."
