The young woman thought it was a little odd to be getting into the backseat. She thought back to her Aunt who always would tell her that getting into a backseat with a boy can only lead to one thing. Trouble.

“Hey do you think we could just talk up here? Allison asked “I feel more comfortable talking up here”

Her friend seemed **** but eventually agreed and came back up to the front seat.

For the next hour, the two friends talked about their lives and struggles. Before too long, the sadness that Allison was feeling seemed to lessen. She turned to her friend.

“Thank you for talking to me Jason. You’ve always been such a dependable friend”

For a moment, Allison thought she saw pain in her friend’s face but that quickly was replaced by a smile.

“Anytime, you know I’ll always be your friend” and reached over to give her a hug “Now come on. We’ve got a convention to get to.”

Soon after, the pair got back on the highway and began to make their way to Udon-con. A fun weekend awaiting both of them.
