No Towels

Once she finished her rinsing her hair, Kayla sighed and turned the knob on the shower to off, and opened the glass door of the stand-in shower. She carefully exited the shower, and looked over to the towel rack. Her heart sank as she realized it was empty.

Kayla unlocked the bathroom door, and slowly peeked her head around the corner. "Mom?"

The silence that followed prompted Kayla to repeat her call. "Mom? Can you bring me a towel?"

Another short silence followed, causing Kayla to get irritated. "Can she even hear?" Kayla thought to herself.

Kayla continued to call out to various members of the household. Her dad, brothers, sisters, her mom again. All calls went unanswered, no matter the volume she yelled at. Kayla sighed, and checked her options. She had no options in the way of cover available to her, but the laundry room or her parents' room might offer some form of cover. Both options would require her to exit the bathroom naked, meaning she could get seen.
