Joy was gone. Clumsy Terri was worse than useless. There was no hope of finding her like this, when her suit felt like it was on the verge of losing power. The fabric was slackening around her waist and hips, and with every passing moment Lynn could feel the suit's grip on her chest weakening. Soon the batteries in her collar would give out and leave her standing there in nothing but her special cosplay underwear.

The thought of it made her shudder. She'd mocked other cosplayers for shoddy construction before. Even a visible bra strap was a huge no-no in Lynn's book. If pictures got out of her having a total wardrobe malfunction, she'd never live it down. Once something was online, there was absolutely no way to hide.

There was no time to do anything but cover up and look for a place to duck out of sight.

Fortunately, Lynn had the perfect solution: get in the MEKA. Since she would be lying on her stomach when she was inside, she wouldn't have to worry about anything falling out of place. Even her loose bodysuit wouldn't be visible, since only the upper part of her torso could be seen through the MEKA's plexiglass.

Lynn squeezed her wrist-mounted remote. The MEKA's hatch popped open obediently and she shuffled towards it, keeping her arms wrapped around her chest to support her suit in case the collar decided to stop working.

Just as she reached for the handles in the back of the MEKA, Lynn froze. If she got in, she'd have to shimmy forwards to reach the controls. If her suit really was in that bad a state, dragging herself forwards just might undo her sleeves and pull the form-fitting front down her body.
