Frozen in time, Marigold had a decision to make: could she kiss Kiona?

Well, yes. Yes, she could. There was no possible way her friend would know. Just one quick peck on Kiona's full, plush lips, and everything would fall into place. Marigold would know once and for all what these feelings were trying to tell her.

But... that would be wrong.

If Marigold wanted to have her first kiss with someone, she knew it would have to be a real kiss, not a stolen one. She wanted the memory to be pure and exciting, not guilt-ridden and shameful.

That, and Marigold should only be kissing boys. Girls weren't supposed to kiss girls. EVER.

Marigold sighed, glad to have resisted her devilish temptation. This watch really was handy, wasn't it? She had so much more time to think about things and come to wholesome decisions about her life.

Marigold gave one last longing stare into her friend's eyes and clicked the watch's button. Time resumed.

Kiona, shocked at Marigold's sudden appearance, came to a screeching halt. "What the- did you just- huh?!"

"Uh..." Marigold mumbled, retreating into her shell. She'd forgotten to slide back behind Kiona before she resumed time. She had to think of an explanation.

"I... uh... really have to go to the bathroom!" Marigold squeaked. She danced back and forth. Hopefully Kiona would buy it as an excuse for 'darting' in front of her.

Kiona stared at her with a confused, even slightly suspicious look on her face. Nobody moved that fast, even in kickboxing.

Marigold shrank even smaller.
