Chapter 7 by adaniels adaniels

Does he want his sister's company?

No, no little sister needs to see this.

‘No,’ John said, not wanting his little sister to witness the part of his body that required consultation. ‘No, my sister just drove me. I’ll come in alone.’

With a friendly glance at Louise, the doctor nodded. ‘Very well. Follow me, please.’

‘I shouldn’t be too long. You don’t mind waiting?’ John asked Louise before he followed the doctor.

‘Sure. Maybe I can catch up on some sleep.’ Louise smiled, her gorgeous face complimented by the grin, and sat back down as John caught up to Doctor Harper and followed her into her office.

Inside, the doctor closed the door behind him and gestured for him to take a seat. She tapped something into the computer at her desk, before turning back to her patient. ‘So. What can I help you with today, John?’

‘Um, well… it’s a little embarrassing.’ John laughed nervously but the doctor laughed with him, easing his discomfort.

‘That’s very natural, John. But I assure you, I am a professional, and I’m here to make any medical problem you have a whole lot easier.’ Doctor Harper leaned forward with her elbow on the desk, her chin in her hand. ‘So, let me know what the problem is, and I can let you know how we can deal with it.’

John nodded and sighed. ‘I have this, uh… weird pain. Like an ache. It’s, uh… down there.’

Doctor Harper raised her eyebrows as she looked to the region in question, leaving her eyes there for a few moments before returning to his face. ‘I understand. Like I said, there’s absolutely no reason to be embarrassed, John.’ She pulled a pair of latex gloves from a box on her desk and began to slide them on. ‘Now,’ she nodded, smiling. ‘I’m going to ask you to remove your pants, so I can get a better look at what we’re dealing with.’ John nodded and obeyed, standing to unbuckle his belt. ‘Where is this pain, specifically?’ the doctor asked.
