Sara face drops, and she literally looks stunned that a guy would turn down an offer to go out with her. "Ohh... Ok.. I guess I'll leave you to your lunch."

You leave Sara's office heading back to your own. As you enter your office you look back and see Sara heading out of her office towards the exit. She is shaking her head and muttering to herself.

You have a quiet lunch by yourself. Just as you are finishing your PB&J your phone rings. It's Katy your old office mate. "Hey stranger. We just down here talking over lunch and your name came up."

"Uh oh.. I've just been gone a day and you're already badmouthing me behind my back?"

Katy giggles, "No silly, we were just thinking it would be a good idea to go out with you tonight so we don't lose touch."

"Oh, that's nice of you. I'll think about it. Where are you going?"

I think to myself how nice that was. But also how like Katy that is to try to be nice and include everyone all the time.
