"That sounds great, Jackie," said Tom, "but that's okay. I'm almost done here and I'll be hitting the road in just a sec. But I'm glad you came over to say bye." He opened his arms to her.

Jackie embraced Tom with a sigh. "I'm gonna miss you, Tom," she said.

"Me, too, you," said Tom, noticing the way Jackie's womanly curves filled his arms and pressed against his chest. "Well," he said, breaking the hug, "I guess I better get going. I wanna see how far I can get before it gets dark."

"Sure," said Jackie, with a pout. "You sure you don't want any coffee?"

"Yeah, thanks, though."

"Or a cold drink? We have some sodas. Why don't you come in and I'll fix up a cup with some ice?"

"No, thanks, Jackie, I'm good."

"Well, OK, then," said Jackie, shrugging her shoulders. Tom opened the door of the car and began to sit down when Jackie said, "Hey, uh, since you're leaving anyway, do you think you could give me a ride? It's on your way."

"Do you know which way I'm going?" said Tom, with a smile.

Jackie blushed. "Oh, uh, well, which way are you going?"

"I'm heading south out of town, then to the interstate."

"Cool," she said, "then I'm on the way. Is that okay?"
