Chapter 5 by ldnldn ldnldn

Do they go to the pub?

No, Kim turns the situation around

“Great idea!”

“Sounds good to me.”

“W-wait. You want me to go out to the pub? Like this? In public? Do I have to…?” Kim looked at the invisible redhead, who nodded her head. “But it’s going to be so mortifying… Wait, that’s the point, isn’t it? Well in that case I know how I can make it worse!”

“Is Kim talking to the air?”

Suddenly invigorated, Kim approached the dream spirit. “You know what will make a reunion with friends even more embarrassing? If I was stuck doing some sort of embarrassing job in a pretty public place.”

“I guess that would be embarrassing. Good idea, I’ll make you a temporary waiter at the pub.”

“No, that’s not as bad as what I have in mind.”

“You want to give your friends a tour of Morpheus’ Palace while doing your usual chores? I guess that would be worse.”

“Does Kim normally talk to herself like that?” Clara asked Harako.

“No. Remember the Disneyland nightmare? Well, listen to this.” Kim whispered her plan to the spirit while giving Harako a mischievous side-glance.

“Yep. That’s much better. Let’s go do that!” The redheaded said.

Harako gulped “…do what?”

“…Wow Harako. …I don’t think I’ve ever seen you without your dress.” Said Keichi, a sickly spirit that was floating next to her.

“Yeah girl, it’s not like you have much to show!” added Kona, a transparent luau girl with a big hole where her heart used to be.

“…I don’t have a choice. …It’s my job. …Can we not talk right now?”

“But we have so much catching up to do! I haven’t seen you since you started working for that Morpheus guy.”

“…Yes. …And what’s your job, exactly?”

Harako stuttered as she struggled to reply to her friends. “…R-replacement figurehead.”

A spotlight shone on Harako. The sound of cannon fire echoed in the air as the boat lunged forward. Water splashed and hit the ghost’s legs.

“Ahhh!” cried the people passing by in a mechanical rowboat. They were each marveling at the ride. They couldn’t see the other invisible spirits, but Harako’s pale skin shone clear as day. She was tied to the tip of the bow without a stitch on her willowy body.

“Wow, these animatronics are getting so realistic.”

“I don’t think that’s a robot dude. She seems like a real actress.”

“No way, who would take that job?”

“Well, why would they build an anatomically correct robot? I can see her vagina!”

“Realism dude!”

The little boat passed by and the ship retreated to its hidden position, for the next minute or so until the next ride passed.

“Ha! Hahaha!” Kona bent over herself in an invisible laughing fit. “Really? That’s why you stopped haunting? To be an over-glorified mannequin in an amusement park? Ha! How the mighty have fallen.”

“Look at that cringing face! I bet we are going to get the big bucks for this test,” said Kim, sitting at the edge of the boat and letting her bare feet hang next to Harako.

The human was still naked, she was also part of the show. Every time the boat thrust forward she had to run in circles to flee from an animatronic pirate captain.

Luckily for Kim, few people paid attention to her, at least compared to her companion. That was refreshing. Usually, people paid more mind to her well-endowed body than the spirit’s little breasts and slim behind.

Harako growled. “… Can you all please …go away?”

“ …But I haven’t seen you in so long.”

“Don’t mind her. Harie gets bashful when she’s uncomfortable, which is all the time really. Want to hear some embarrassing stories about her?”

“…That sounds fun.”

“Give me your juiciest one!”

“Let’s start with how we meet…”

Harako’s head was woozy with the overwhelming warmth of her blush. “… Ugh …what a nightmare.”
