No, Jessica stays in the Great Hall

Jessica seriously considers Andrei's offer, but declines. "I really should stay with my sister..." Jessica says politely.

"Of course" Andrei says, bowing his head and walking away.

I'll need to look him up later... Jessica thinks, surprised at her own horniness. She looks over to see that Jenna has moved on to feeding from a girl's thigh, another vampire feeding from the girl's breast.

Jessica sighs, looking around the gigantic room. Everywhere she looks, she sees vampires feeding on humans. It is overwhelming. Drunk on blood, some vampires and vampiresses are starting to engage in some heavy petting (still clothed).

Well, almost everyone is feeding. Jessica spots a striking vampiress sitting alone on a sofa, slowly sipping from a glass of blood and watching the room over the rim. She is a beautiful platinum blonde with piercing brown eyes. This seems like someone I should know here Jessica thinks.

Jessica walks to the sofa, sitting down next to the vampiress.

"Hi. My name's Jessica" Jessica says.

"I didn't ask" the vampiresses scoffs, not looking at Jessica. "Everyone here knows, anyway."

"And your name is?" Jessica asks.

"Marishka" the vampiress responds, and takes a long swig of the blood from her glass.

They sit together quietly for a few minutes. Finally, Marishka breaks the silence.

"Don't they ever tire of this?" Marishka asks rhetorically.

"Tire of what?" Jessica asks.

"This. Cooped up in these walls, constantly feeding. The same party every night with the same people. It's stultifying" Marishka says, dismissively.

"You don't enjoy feeding" Jessica asks, intrigued.

"Of course I enjoy feeding" Marishka says, annoyed by the question. "I am sick of being stuck... in here" Marishka says, drinking the rest of her blood in one gulp.

"Why don't you just just leave?" Jessica asks, and Marishka frowns. Again they sit in silence. After several minutes, Marishka speaks.

"There's a lot you don't know about this place....Jessica... But you'll see soon enough" Marishka says cryptically. With that, she gets off of the sofa and starts walking away. She turns to Jessica, looking at her for the first time. "Keep your eyes open, little bird" she says, and walks away.

Jessica feels a horrible heaviness in her stomach. What did Marishka mean?
