Nightly stroll

We both turned towards the pathway by the woods and began walking in the direction of my lookout. I took a piece of magic scroll paper around my wrist and spoke a encantation.

"Illuminus Locktora"

A glowing orb materialized next to me and began pacing ahead of us, lighting the way as we walked.

"Scared of the dark are we?" She said with a smirk.

I turned to her and gave a annoyed glare. "Fine, have it your way."

I balled my hand into a fist in the direction of the orb, causing it to shatter, leaving us with no light.

"Hey uh I was joking, no need to be so serious.." she said with a worried look in her eyes.

I turned back it her with an even more annoyed look, "Nuh-uh, you played around and now you're going to have to suck it up."

She turned her head back at me with a scowl, "Don't back talk me boy." Her tone was commanding, I started to really realize that I might have made a mistake messing with someone like her.

"Hmmm, I sense something of great magical value on you, show me."

I was hoping this wouldn't happen, I quickly stepped away from her, and hid my satchel behind me.

"Oh please." She motioned her hand towards her chest and I instantly felt a **** pull my body. I was within a foot of her in mere seconds. She rolled her eyes and grabbed the bag from behind my back. She opened it up and her eyes got wide.

She pulled out my mutations book and dropped me onto the ground in the process, "A mutations book! How did you get your hands on this?"

"Dungeon," I muttered out, as she continued to walk ahead of me.

"You don't say..." she quietly said while scrolling through the book. She stopped on a page and a look of excitement ran over her face, "Ooh this one looks fun."

"Which one?!?" I shouted as I caught up to her.

"Well, you'll just have to wait and see." She said with a mischievous look on her face.

We continued to walk until we had reached my lookout.
