New Rules

I felt goosebumps from the combination of cool evening air on my nervous flesh, illuminated under the white glow of the porch light. There was thankfully no traffic thanks to the late hour, but I knew Mom and Dad would have to come home eventually. I'd prefer it if they didn't find me naked on the porch when it inevitably occurred.

Ashley started, "You get a half-roll of pennies. If you manage to get it up to a full-roll, you get to go inside and get dressed. When you lose them though, you have to walk with me a block wherever I choose, and you will get another half-roll after a quick forfeit. Then we start over, until you win and get to go home, or spend all night walking around naked and I get bored."

I imagined myself walking down main street naked, with the dawning sun casting its first rays on my body and shivered. "This seems a bit **** Ashley, you can't...", she interrupted me forcefully saying, "This is not optional! This is your forfeit for the picture, when you swore you would do my dares!" I blushed. She was right. We were not a family to shirk on our bets. "I'm sorry, I'll follow through..... *sigh* no matter what." "Good," replied Ashley while looking at her phone, "I'm sending that pic to mom and dad, and if you welch on another bet, I'm tagging it to you on social media." This caught me by surprise. My jaw dropped as I heard her phone ding. "Mom said they'll be home in an hour, and to not get carried away with betting." I was as red as a fire engine. *ding* "Oh, and dad said you look nice." Ashley was laughing while I felt numb and apathetic. There was one emotion welling up though. It was good ole stubborn pride. If I had to show my T and A to the whole damn state, I was not going to lose this game. Not after all of this.

"C'mon," she said shuffling a deck and stacking coins. "Let's Play."
