New Alcatraz

The "Inferno prison" was called that because, to those who had commit crimes severe enough to land in there, "abandon hope, all ye who enter here."

Or at least, that's what the criminals said.

With the rapidly rising rate of crime and aggression in society, it was decided that a "new Alcatraz" needed to be built to house all the most troublesome criminals. As such, an island was purchased by the government, known as Inferno island due to the large inactive volcano resting smack dab in the middle, where the Inferno Prison complex would be built.

It had taken years to build. Standing at the incredible height of 21 levels, incredibly thick, and fortified, it was officially open as a prison.

And so, the first batch of criminals that would inhabit the complex were ferried in by boat, much like Charon would ferry lost souls in the underworld.

Our focus today is on Katie Murphy, a 28 year old woman who was put on trial for 6 years of jewellery theft all over the country. She was one of the considerations for the maximum security prison due to how quickly she could evade police capture when she was free and how accustomed to crime she was. Thus, here she was in the first batch of criminals sent to the island.

First order of business, a shower.

"What the hell? How are we expected to shower like this? Isn't this too strict?" Katie was flabbergasted. From one set of cuffs and clamps in the boat, to another one in the shower. Due to the very strict rules, the prisoners had to shower with restraints on to stop any chance of escape, their necks bound in collars with chains held by heavily armed guards.

The guards didn't respond, but the look through their helmets told Katie that unless she wanted to face punishment, she had better make do.
