Neve calls out her sister

“Oh wow,” Kim said, after stuffing a bagel down her mouth. The manicure had ended, and now she was eating a snack alongside Suzy. “There is no way she´ll reach the container before time´s up.”

Neve got up from the bed, stomped on the floor, and then looked straight ahead, almost as if she was looking at Kim and Suzy. “I think she knows,” Suzy replied.

“Ok, sis, I know you are watching. Haha, you got me. Yeah, I guess I deserve it after the whole Eternity in the Realm of Eternal Pinching thing, but this is far enough! I don´t have enough money to afford rent and buy all my stuff back, for crying out loud.”

Suzy shrugged. “Eh, not that different from the time you got me banished into the domain of the Kraken king...”

“That´s different! That time…” Huh, so now Neve can listen to Suzy and vice versa. Kim placed another bagel on her mouth and kept chewing.

“Fine, fine,” Suzy shrugged, annoyed. “I won´t give you back your stuff, but I´ll pay for it.” With a snap of her fingers, all the jewelry on Kim´s body, the rings, necklaces, and even a diamond incrusted diadem, it all disappeared and reappeared on Neve.

“Great, so now I just have to walk back home looking like a jewel store mannequin… At least I´ll be able to pay rent…”

Kim spat out her food. “What?! That might have been enough to get me out of my debt with Morpheus. You can´t take my pay away! We had a deal!”

“True,” Suzy snapped her fingers once more, and the jewelry reappeared on Kim.

“But I´m your sister! Blood is more important than a simple handshake!” Neve argued back…

“Also true.” The jewels exchanged position once more.

“You don´t have blood! And what´s more important to an immortal than her reputation? You can´t renegue on a deal.” Kim argued. The jewels disappeared altogether.

“Hmm, what a conundrum. You both raise good points. Who should I give my treasure to?”

“Why do you have to choose? Can´t you just wave your hands and make more jewels?” Kim asked.

“Heavens no, creating money out of thin air like that is illegal. Think of the runaway inflation it can cause!”

“You are a cosmic being of unimaginable power! Why do you care about inflation?” Kim yelled, slamming the table.

“Cosmic or not, you don´t mess with the taxman. Ok, I think I have an idea on how to settle this once and for all.”
