Chapter 9
by Onyxgamer
Whom should I agree with?
Neither
"Don't even think about it." I growl at both of them, making them both deflate as fast as they woke up. "We kill who is in our way, but the priority is the boy. The nobleman who hired us wants him first and forenost. He will send soldiers to finish the bandits off but we will do what we are payed for." Everyone nods in agreement to this.
After sending Pup to scout out the area, we all made a small breakfast to keep us energized for the battle but not enough to make us sick or slow. Pup, after a few hours, comes back and stuffs his mouth with as much chicken as he can. He debriefed us on what's going on.
A few hours later, we were standing outside the ruins that the bandit's called home. We all ready ourselves and I do headcount. Cassandra is doing her bag check and nods at me. We all slowly creep to the castle, wrapons drawn. I take out my sword, Ingard, and approach the backgate. There were a few guards at the back but they were dirty and seemed like illiterate farmers rather than fighters.
What do you do in the castle?
