Crystal was glad to be in Math class for a change, even though they had a seating plan and Kip was three desks in front and one to the left of her. They smiled warmly at each other and exchanged a few words, but today's lesson was heavily strict on not mucking about and talking. So opportunities for even an eye contact interaction were very scarce.

Kip would occasionally glance at Crystal when the teacher stopped talking or wrote something on the board, but Crystal missed every single one because she was haunted by the implications of what happened during arts class.

The minute she walked away from Minx the haze wore off, and all she could think of is ‘what will happen now?’ She knew Minx was going to gradually become more and more interested in her, but how long does it take. Kip already found Crystal incredibly attractive when she got zapped, but the sudden urge to push and fight to be Crystal’s girl was roughly a two-hour transition. Is that how long Minx would take, or would it take much longer because she wasn't in love with her like Kip?

She needed help. So for the entire lesson she was trying to make contact with the gender-hybrid Ancient Greek. But he wasn't making it easy.

Crystal couldn't remember his actual name, and calling him ‘girlboy’ wasn't a respectful way to get his attention. The first four letters were H E R M, so she tried Herm. No answer.

She thought she had remembered his name, but then realised she’d gotten mixed up with wizards and witches, instead of gods and goddesses. ‘Kip talks about books too much, it confuses me’

Then she tried calling out to him as ‘friend’, but either he saw through it and knew she did not consider him that well, or he didn’t care.

Then she wondered whether he was ignoring her at all, or he’d just gone. Like gone gone. Maybe he got frustrated with Crystal being rude and snapping at him, and decided to leave her to ruin her life on her own. She did despise him, but at the same time he’s the only person she can depend on regarding these problems.

On the fourth attempt, she addressed him with an apology. ‘Hey, if you’re there please listen to me, I’m sorry I keep being a bitch to you. I’m in trouble and I don’t know what to do. I know you say I’m meant to be with many people, but I don’t want to hurt Kipper. I love her. Tell me how to fix this, there must be something else I can do to make the world better.’

Crystal was slumped on her desk, forehead resting on her crossed arms that were planted to the desk. She prayed and prayed for help. “I’m sorry, are we keeping you up Miss Miles” the teacher, Mr Platt, grizzled at her.

Crystal shot up in her chair, looking straight ahead almost robotically. “No Mr Platt.”

“Can you tell me what I just told the class?”

“No sir, I didn’t hear”

“Then you must be an expert already, if you’re above listening. So, tell me what is the square root of 196?”

Crystal hadn’t a clue what a square root was, she didn’t even know numbers grew from the ground. Just as she was about to embarrass herself though, a most welcome voice aided her from inside her head. ‘This man thinks he’s Archimedes, well I’ll show him.’

Crystal answered the teacher’s question. “Like how all sides of a square must be the same, to get a square of numbers requires multiplying one number by itself. In the case of the sum 196, the square root would be numbers 14, or -14. A cube number is a result of one number times by itself twice, the sum of 14 cubed is 2744.”

The entire classroom was agape in shock, people turned in their chairs to stare at Crystal like she’d just confessed to being an alien. Everyone, including Mr Platt and Kip, was in utter disbelief that dummy Crystal provided an answer so intelligently. Or a correct answer in general.

“Well...yes, that was correct. Fantastic” Mr Platt, or rather Mr Prat, stammered his way back into a position of unflappability. “Miss Miles has demonstrated the importance of revision, let her be an example to you all. But Miss Miles, a bit more respect in future, leave your napping for recess.”

“Yes sir” Crystal complied.

‘Nicely done Crystal Miles’

Crystal thanked him even though she’d had nothing to do with the mathematics, and asked ‘where have you been?’

‘I’ve been right here the whole time’

‘But you ignored me!’

‘I thought you knew what you were doing?’ He asked slyly ‘you certainly said so.’

Crystal knew she would have to concede she was wrong, she hated doing that. ‘Alright, so I need your help’

Thankfully Hermaphroditus wasn’t one for gloating. ‘You are worried about your relationship with Kip, and the threat Minx’s attraction poses to you.’

Crystal nodded glumly, hoping nobody else noticed and thought her a weirdo. An idiot and a weirdo, what a reputation. ‘Do I have to be with other girls?’

‘The Gods deem that the most practical and quickest route to success’

‘But why? If I’m doing bad things, how can the world become a better place?’

‘Remember what I said the first time we met? What did I say to you regarding my blessing? Why did I choose you Crystal?’

A lot had happened since then, and Crystal can’t remember what she’s had for breakfast in the morning most days. But she wracked her brains back to when a boy appeared in her home, proclaiming her to be his chosen one. Then she remembered how he spoke of wisdom, to which she remembered denying. ‘Yes Crystal, that is still your mission. Not only to spread wisdom back into the world, but love too.’

‘And that means being with many girls?’

‘That means having sexual relations with many girls, you don’t see it now but this perversion and immorality has a glorious, encouraging conclusion. If you do this right you can be the hero the world needs, and love freely at the same time. So I say it again, this is the best route to success, if you do it right.’

Crystal didn’t want to seem naive and gullible, but neither did she want to seem untrusting if indeed all this was for a good cause. The reality was everything he’d said so far has been reliable, and if this was some sick joke why would he even bother answering her, he’d ought to be in an armchair somewhere with his legs out and arms behind his head.

And without him she’d had puked her guts endlessly without knowing why. She’d be completely dumbfounded to what this pink hue power was, she’d probably be seeing psychiatrists and living in a mental hospital, completely needlessly. And she’d be touching and zapping every girl who so much as touched her, feeling attraction for them and them for her. At least with his help, she had some form of control over selection.

Minx was a really great person, and Crystal wouldn’t be so compatible with her if she didn’t find her attractive. The power doesn’t **** her to feel things that weren’t there, it accentuates and exaggerates what already was there.

And above all that, the attraction to Minx wasn’t the same as her attraction to Kip. Minx was objectively attractive to Crystal, and that seems to make this power work differently. It makes something she knew become something she feels when in her presence. Being away from Minx also resets those feelings back to their original state, if Crystal didn’t see Minx again she’d always just see her as objectively pretty.

Meanwhile Crystal could go blind and Kip could be ninety-six years old instead of sixteen, and Crystal would still absolutely adore her and think she’s the most beautiful person in the world. The power just helped her to realise it, whether that was its function was unclear.

But the important thing Crystal needed to decide as soon as possible was whether she should let what happens happen, or tell Kip about her situation and hope she understood. Both had many downsides, and not much hope of happiness in Crystal’s eyes.

‘Can I tell Kip what’s going on, I don’t think I have it in my heart to do these things when she’s completely loyal to me? If my body and mind will turn against me, shouldn’t I just explain it to her before she gets hurt?’ Crystal offered hopefully, exposing her true hidden wisdom and her much more common compassion.

‘Crystal, have I ever once forbade you from discussing your situation with the people you love and trust? The only time I did was in the presence of the nurse, an outsider in regards to your personal life.’

She was a little annoyed by this revelation, she was under the impression that when he said “you can’t go round telling everyone” he didn’t actually mean ‘everyone’. If she could have the luxury of speaking to those she cared for, then she’d have done so straight away.

Hermaphroditus intercepted her thoughts and warned ‘it isn’t accountable for whether you should tell your loved ones, after all how would they be able to understand, would they believe such a thing? Knowing doesn’t always mean understanding. Part of Hera’s reasoning for supporting your mission was that you had the capability to accept the responsibility, not many people could take this in their stride, and those who could would likely **** it without a care.’

‘I don’t believe that, Kip would understand and she’d be responsible” Crystal argued.

‘If you know that to be true then you can tell her so, but if you only believe then I’d suggest you wait a while until you’re sure.’

‘I’m sure’

‘Really?’

‘Yes’

‘You’re going to confess to the person you love, and whom loves you, that you are destined to be unfaithful to her. That you uncontrollably will fornicate and mate with a potentially vast number of females, with the excuse that the gods she doesn’t believe in have requested you to. And she is going to understand and accept that?’

Crystal’s hopes completely deflated. She was now staring over at the ever logical, ever beautiful, ever caring girl that was Kipper Osbourne; wondering if she’d really accept something like this. ‘Maybe if she didn’t love you, she’d accept it’ Hermaphroditus added. ‘And maybe you really will make her understand, but do you undoubtedly know if she can love you and let you be with others. Because if not...’

‘I’ll lose her’ Crystal finished his sentence.

Kip turned her head and saw Crystal looking, she smiled like an angel and it was like Hermaphroditus had stopped time again. He definitely hadn’t.

‘This is your journey Crystal, it’s your way. But you have to think bigger, think wiser. There is a way to get exactly what you want and what the world wants, but I can’t tell you how it will happen. I can only guide, you must lead.’

An: god the cliche’s, sorry about that guys lol. I’m not looker for a Booker Prize but I do like substance with my eroticism. It’s like cooking, salt gives the dish its flavour, and sauce adds spice.

“Why can’t he understand me, what’s so difficult about showing you give a crap?” Minx was sitting on the wall, the usual gathering spot for the quartet of friends. She was alone because she was bunking class, sometimes she’d bunk school with Jason but today he was nowhere in sight. A third of her wanted him to be with her, the second third wanted him to grow a fucking heart first.

The final third was a weird one. This third didn’t want to be with him period. This third had no concern for him.

Whilst incredibly confusing, she was able to compartmentalise and ignore it. But she thought ignoring it was enough, she didn’t realise that every second that she felt down and miserable, she was ****.

“‘Fuck off Mom, I don’t want you to talk to Minx like that, she’s my girlfriend and you’re gonna have to accept it.’ So easy to say Jason, why don’t you try it for once.”

‘He’s never going to change’

That thought was strange. Yes, it’s her thoughts, but it came from nowhere. It came without thinking. And she sounded indifferent when she thought it, not bitter or sad. To top it off, she didn’t even agree with it. “He might. People change, it’s been known to happen.”

‘How long will it take?’

Okay, what the fuck. Was she going schizophrenic? Minx was freaked out by the spontaneous thoughts, which inadvertently opened up her emotion centre even more.

She stopped thinking and tried listening, if she heard the voice whilst not actually using her brain to think, that would prove she’s going crazy. That didn’t happen, there was silence for a few minutes, then Minx gave up.

“Fuck this, I’m done crying over him anyway”

‘I don’t need him anymore’

“Shut the fuck up!” She turned and shouted at the wall, like that was the cause of the weird thoughts. If anyone saw this they would definitely agree she was crazy, thankfully no one was around. “I do need him, that’s the whole point. He’s a fucker, and an ass, and a dick. But he’s my ass-fucking-dick. I don’t want to change that.”

‘He doesn’t care’

If there was any doubt that these thoughts were actually hers, it was expelled after hearing that. “Of course he cares about me, what the fuck do you know?”

Nothing responded.

“Yeah, that’s what I thought”

‘Why won’t he show it?’

That’s because he didn’t, he wouldn’t, that’s not the person he is. But she can help him with that. She thought this but the ‘voice’ responded before she could verbalise it. ‘That’s not the person I need.’

“Yes...I do” Minx felt tears coming again.

‘No I don’t’

“I...I...”

‘I don’t need him. He doesn’t care. I don’t need him. He doesn’t care.’

“Stop it! Please!” Minx held her hands over her ears and cried. She ran into the nearest department block, not even knowing where she was intending to go. Just anywhere where the voice couldn’t.

She didn’t hear it anymore, but it didn’t mean it wasn’t there. She needed help. From a teacher, Nurse Williams, hell even the janitor will do. She needed a real person to talk to, not this toxic voice trying to pollute her mind.

Then she thought of the perfect person. Crystal.

Kipper and Crystal walked out of Math hand-in-hand, drawing the eyes of many but thankfully not being disturbed. Crystal was still slightly occupied elsewhere mentally, but Kip was a great ambassador for welcome distractions.

“Where have you been hiding that Maths genius by the way?” Kip nudged her girlfriend with a soft smile.

Crystal giggled “I read it somewhere.”

“That’s a load of tosh right there” Kip replied. “Liar liar, pants on fire.”

“I did!” Crystal objected.

“Alright, but I know there’s a secret intellectual in that head of yours, I’m onto you Miles” Kipper accused playfully. Crystal let Kipper access her locker as they approached, all the while the blonde was internally informing the girlboy that Kip was joking, and nobody thought he was smart at all. Still, if only Kip knew how spot on she was.

When Kip turned back around she was looking at Crystal with more than a touch of concern. “You looked out-of-sorts back there though babe, are you alright? You’re not still feeling sick are you?”

Crystal shook her head.

“Are you sure?” Kip asked, reaching for the blondes cheek. Crystal naturally nuzzled into it and kissed her palm. Kip smiled and nibbled her lip, reminding Crystal how good she was with her teeth. “Good.”

She pulled Crystal towards her, placing the blondes hands on her waist and leant back against her locker door. “That’s very good, I don’t like the taste of barf breath.” She captured Crystal’s lips, commencing a deep loving kiss.

A couple of younger kids got excited just by the sight of two girls kissing, they soon moved off to discuss it. Other stuck-up straight girls stated their displeasure and sauntered away. And older boys wolf-whistled and egged them on as they passed. But the couple ignored them all, they let themselves be lost to the kiss.

The necessity for breath coincided with the arrival of a uncharacteristically timid Minx. Kip nudged Crystal away slightly, unsure of Minx’s reaction to their intimacy. Crystal tried to look at the lockers behind Kip’s head than their friend now alongside them. And Minx was glancing between them both with her expression completely unreadable.

Slightly awkward was about to become moderately uncomfortable, until Minx broke the spell of quietness they were under. “You don’t mind if I tag along with you two right?”

Crystal thought that question sounded like a general question for them both, but Minx’s eyes were asking Crystal. The blonde reluctantly connected their gazes and immediately that haze began to flow back into her brain.

Meanwhile Kip answered the skater girls question “you don’t need permission Minx, we’re your friends.”

“I’m not barging in on your little...moment?” Minx had no need to pause there, it only confirmed to Crystal that trouble was coming if she didn’t get a grip on the situation.

“Where’s Jason?” A very good question from Crystal, if that didn’t bring forth an excuse for Minx to leave, it would maybe remind Minx of the guy she was romantically interested in and snap her out of her haze.

The answer failed to do either. “No idea, right now I don’t really want to see him.”

Oh how one statement can be read into in two completely different ways.

Crystal really wasn’t ready to be around Minx yet. She’d decided that if she was to allow herself to have sex with Minx, it was going to happen far away from Kipper, so that the brunette’s chances of catching them going at it were virtually impossible. Hermaphroditus could safeguard any location they utilise for sex, but Crystal thought she should double insure that, by knowing beforehand where Kip was going to be.

Crystal had asked Hermaphroditus why Kipper’s hue had gone weak again, and hadn’t brightened up at all despite being with her all the way through the bus ride, and seeing her again in Math. He replied that she’s only required to have relations once with a sexual partner, her powers recognise who she’s been with sexually and become redundant towards them.

That didn’t mean Crystal couldn’t have sex with Kipper, it just meant it will be on completely her terms. And in regards to Minx, she won’t be attracted to Crystal afterwards, unless she develops feelings naturally.

The one thing that would not happen is Minx forgetting what they did, the best strategy for that is to talk to her immediately afterwards, and come to an understanding. Neither of them truly wanted this, and if what transpires between them stays between them, nobody would need to know about it.

“Chrissy!” Kip’s harsh voice broke through her stupor, and honest to god Crystal thought Kip could read minds in that moment. Kipper softened though and Crystal knew she just wanted to grab the blondes attention. “You see this Minx, brand new girlfriend who she says is the greatest person in the world, and she still can’t prevent her mind to wander.”

Crystal caught Kip’s cheek and leaned in for another kiss, to say sorry and as a reason to not look at Minx. Out the corner of her eye, she could see Minx’s eyes on them, her head tilting curiously. Crystal pulled back from the kiss, whilst Kip hugged her around the middle and rested her face against Crystal’s globed breasts. “Right, if you’re joining us Minx you’re gonna have to get used to the sight of this.”

Minx’s lips slanted up slightly, but said nothing in response. Crystal chuckled nervously and suggested they should move away from the lockers. Crystal and Kip led the way outside, with Minx just behind them. Every time Crystal glanced over her shoulder she’d see Minx staring at her ass, and unabashedly continued to whilst knowing the blonde was looking.

Crystal too was glancing back far more than she would like. Minx’s eyes were so soulful, and her features so soft. When she looked at Minx, it was impossible to look at Kipper. How Kip didn’t notice all this, was a mystery.

The default place to spend recess was the wall, but Minx had had enough of that crappy thing, and besides...it wasn’t very comfy if one wanted to sit on it naked. She needed a change. “Man, I nearly forgot, I ain’t got my nasal spray.”

Minx had hayfever and the other two girls knew, they couldn’t go outside in the middle of spring knowing their friend was going to be severely effected by the conditions, Though Crystal was the only one of the two that wasn’t convinced “you were okay earlier by the gates.”

“I took tablets before I left home but they’d have worn off by now, must’ve forgot to grab my spray. Sorry guys, but hey I got a place we could hang without going outside.”

Crystal reluctantly allowed Minx to lead them back the way they came, and further on to the music hall. The school band were practicing in there, kind of stumbling but performing at an acceptable standard. Kip was already engrossed in the symphony, having played the flute for a while back in elementary school.

Crystal didn’t like concerts or performances, she hated loudness. Music sounded good at a bearable volume, and she didn’t want her ears to burst every time she hears that god awful feedback. But she was most concerned by the fact Minx had taken them here.

She must’ve known the band would be rehearsing, and Minx wasn’t into orchestral music either. So why did she take them here? People were allowed to listen in if they so wished, but they didn’t really know anyone in the school band and they showed no real moral support before now. Minx was up to something.

They took three seats right at the back of the hall. Kip was immediately drawn to the wind instrument section, Crystal watched her for a few moments. Suddenly she knew Minx didn’t choose this place for herself, or for Crystal. It was for Kip.

Minx didn’t know Kip as much as Crystal, but she did know Kip was a sucker for class. She wasn’t an artist, she didn’t have that talent, which is ever more why she admired others who do. Stuff like this just drew her gaze and kept it. Whether they were watching a movie, or a theatre show, or even magic acts; she didn’t talk, she didn’t look elsewhere, and she was almost completely unresponsive to interferences.

And that’s exactly why Minx led them here, and why she took the seat on the other side of Crystal. Her gaze pierced the side of Crystal’s, and despite every effort to look at Kipper, the haze was encouraging her to look the opposite direction.

It was the story of three girls sitting in a music hall. One was watching the band with undivided attention, another was looking up and down her friend in the neighbouring seat. The third in the middle looked all around but couldn’t completely keep her gaze away from the girl on her right, who hadn’t looked anywhere else other than at her.

Crystal was doing well, until Minx decided looking wasn’t enough. The blonde felt soft fingertips near her right ear, helping to brush back a few strands of hair. Crystal met Minx’s gaze, just pure seductiveness in the eyes of her skater friend at this point. The fingers did not retreat at all, rubbing along her cheeks and touching over her lips.

This really surprised Crystal. Minx was going to try this here, with Crystal’s girlfriend only a seat further down the row? Obviously this power didn’t care about that. Crystal was losing control, if she ever had any at all since Minx showed up.

Hoping the music would drown out her words, enough for Kip not to hear them, Crystal spoke lowly to Minx with an attempt at firmness. “We can’t do this right now, we’ll work this out later.”

Minx smiled saucily and replied “I don’t think you could hold out for much longer.”

Of course she was right, the haze was being fought so hard Crystal’s eyes were twitching under the strain. “A few hours and we could meet up somewhere, I promise. The haze won’t be as bad when we’re apart.”

Minx’s fingers slipped lower, down away from her face to Crystal’s shirt buttons, toying with the idea of opening them. “That’s not true. I need you with every damn minute that passes by. And I will have you Chrissy. If I have to bend you over you girls lap and eat you out over her pathetic, loser body; I will have you.”

She felt a spike of annoyance, that would’ve been sheer anger if this haze wasn’t nullifying her true feelings. “Don’t call her that.”

“Who her? The snowflake, the little British cupcake whore; she don’t know how to satisfy anyone. You’d get less tongue action than her flute.”

Considering Kip used to practice for three hours everyday, and still practices the occasional hour or more per week, no shit does the flute get more action. But Crystal wasn’t confident or clever enough to point that out in her defence. “Come on Minx, you know this ain’t right.”

Minx boldly cupped Crystal’s crotch, shocking the blonde who half-caught the gasp that succeeded the grab. Crystal was semi-hard as it was, and Minx hand livened up the erection process. If she found the extra parts surprisingly she kept her thoughts to herself. “Nothing has ever felt this right.”

Crystal was so close to giving in now, but this was a disastrous way for it to happen. They couldn’t have sex right here right now, that just couldn’t happen. Not even touching on Kippers feelings, how could Minx live with herself after. When the haze disappears and her mind becomes her own again, she’ll hate herself for this. She’d hate Crystal for letting this happen.

She didn’t really think so lowly of Kip, those were just poisonous words serving only to achieve their ultimate goal. She still loved Jason, it was just **** right down where she couldn’t access it. She’ll remember everything and everything was going to actually happen. This wasn’t a dream where you wake up and it ceases to exist, it’ll have consequences.

For the sake of friendships and relationships both, Crystal had to stop this somehow. But any moment now she’d lose the ability to do something about it. ‘Don’t let the power rule over you’ she heard Hermaphroditus say to her.

Crystal grabbed Minx’s hand and physically removed it from her lap. Then she turned to her left and smooched Kip’s cheek, the brunette cooing in surprise. Crystal gave her no time to react, just proclaimed that they both needed to go relieve themselves. Girls go together and there was complete trust for both girls involved, so Kip easily accepted the excuse.

Crystal practically dragged Minx out of her seat, out of the hall and to the nearest unoccupied room she could find. Which happened to be a little lounge room that band members occupy before heading up on stage. It had a couch so it was immediately suitable for their needs.

Crystal tried the door and found it already locked, Hermaphroditus was as sharply active as she was. She’d acted so quickly and promptly that only now did the rest of her willpower leave her. Crystal put on her boss tone “you naughty little Minx, I will fuck you so hard you’ll be hurting for weeks. Jason won’t have the size to even touch the inside of your pussy by the time I’m done with you.”
