Naked ambition

"What do you mean?" Madeline found herself asking the disembodied voice.

"I can give you your heart's desires," came the answer. "What is it you wish for most of all?"

"Who are you?" she asked as she gazed at the two headed monster trapped inside the blood red jewel.

"Some would call me a demon. Others would call me an angel. I am neither, yet I am both. I am the answer to your heart's desires. I am Oliantis. I was here before you, and I will be here long after you have gone."

"That does not tell me much at all about who I am dealing with." Her heart raced. She knew Oliantis was now probing her mind, and there was no way she could shut him out.

"So... It is your mother you miss most of all," Oliantis prodded. "You loved her very much. She was more than just a mother to you. You also wish to be a great queen, even greater than she was with vast riches untold. You wish to be feared and loved by all. I will not trifle with you. There is a price for your desires. But we will not speak of it now. But when payment comes due, you will bow before me, and give me my desires."

"And what are your desires?" Madeline asked. "I will not enter into a bargain blindly with you."

"A wise choice," the cagey Oliantis replied. "You will give yourself to me willingly, both body and soul. You will be mine for all eternity. In exchange I will give you everything your heart desires, and a long life for you and your mother. Yes, I will bring her back from the land of the dead. What say you, Princess Madeline? Will you willingly make this bargain with me? It is so little I ask for in return for what you will receive."

Madeline broke down in tears. She missed her mother so much. She had fallen in love with her, more so than what she had imagined. To have her back again, to feel her touch, her warmth, her face between her legs. "Will my mother be young again?"

"She will have her youth when I restore her. That I promise you," came Oliantis's answer. He was planning on both of them serving him, though Madeline knew it not. He would be the real power in the kingdom, and they would be his puppets, his slaves. "What is your answer?"
