My girlfriend's mother

I couldn't believe my eyes. It was Sharon Henderson, my girlfriend's mother. What was Sarah's mother doing here?

She saw me looking at her and raised her eyes. "David, what are you doing here?" she asked.

"Me and some of the guys decided to come up here for a few days to celebrate graduation from high school. I'm surprised Sarah didn't tell you."

"Well, I've been pretty busy lately. I haven't had the chance to check my phone for messages or take any calls," she replied. She looked both ways as though she was checking for any eavesdroppers. "I would like to talk to you some more. Will you join me in my room?"
