Ms. Lamplighter

If there was one woman in the school who everybody feared, it was Ms. Lamplighter. It was probably a good thing for the school, since the principal himself was a gregarious and effete man who was great at school functions but contributed nothing to the day to day operations of the school. Ms. Lamplighter, on the other hand, was the law; a ghost that stalked through the hallways, the specter that kept us all in line. Any act of rebellion or tomfoolery had to be weighed against the potential costs of being found out by Ms. Lamplighter.
