Move on

John decided to walk around campus a bit, but he wanted to have a bit of fun first. He spotted two coeds walking down the quad.

He froze them with the wand, knowing that, while frozen, no one would remember they existed until he unfroze them. He took the one in yellow, who was decidedly more attractive, and unfroze the one in blue. She kept waking as if nothing had happened, forgetting her still-frozen friend in the process.

John took his new frozen plaything and went to the library. He sat down and set the frozen girl beside him. No one batted an eye.

He saw two more coeds working at a nearby table.
