Chapter 4 by cottoneye cottoneye

What kind of personality do they give her?

More Spirit (Written By ajc)

The Bee-Girl lay there, staring dully if lovingly up at the warrior. Nothing but thoughts, if one were so generous as to use that word to describe them, of affection for the elf girl could be found in her mind, if one were... well, you know. Then her beloved's hand graced her forehead, and she felt it.

Confidence. Boldness. She suddenly felt herself, and it was all the more amazing, since until just now, she had never even known there was such a thing as "herself" to feel. When she looked back up at the elf, it was still lovingly, but now her eyes were alive with purpose. She'd do anything to repay her for this wonderful gift she'd been given. She'd take on the world for her mistress. And she'd win.

Tally leaned back as the Bee-Girl burst off the ground with an energetic cry. She flew in quick loops, enjoying the discovery of adrenaline. Hovering a few feet off the ground, she declared, "Stand back, mistress, and watch your enemies fall before me! Let's go..." She realized she had no idea who or where these enemies were. "Wait, where are we going?"

Tally explained her mission to the Bee-Girl, who responded with a smirk. "With me by your side, mistress, we've practically already won!"

"She's certainly spirited. I was hoping you'd go for something more submissive myself," Brim pouted.

"She's been submissive her whole life, Brim," Tally said. "I thought she deserved a change."

Tally was about to say something to the Bee-Girl when she realized she didn't know the Bee-Girl's name. Based on what Brim had told her about drones, she realized the Bee-Girl probably never had one, but she still felt like she should ask. "I'm Tally. Do you have a name?"

"Not really," the Bee-Girl replied. "The Hive considered me Drone 4774, but that's it."

That wasn't much of a name, Tally thought. "Everyone deserves a name. Do you... want me to call you 4774?"

"No!" the Bee-Girl smiled. She'd never been able to not want something before! It felt amazing! Tally asked her what she wanted her name to be, but the Bee-Girl had to admit she didn't know yet. She didn't like that as much. Being capable of having opinions was going to take some getting used to.

What's next?
