Chapter 6 by DudeBroGuy DudeBroGuy

Why wait?

More Company

Sarah was drumming her fingers away, giddy from earlier, and eager to get lunch started. As she begins to stand up she sees Tim coming her way. Oh great, Tim was the sad sack of Steve's little crew. He's short, stocky, one of the high school jocks who peaked yet Sarah still remembers the fake prom invites that left her in tears. He looks down as he walks over and sighs.

"Sarah... I am so sorry. I never meant for any of that to happen. Steve and the guys... I thought it was all talk. Just trying to fit in. I should've known it made others feel bad and I... I'm sorry. Can you forgive me?"

Oh wow, Sarah did not expect this. He was so sincere and she could tell he meant it. Didn't mean she was okay with him. Just that he was making a start.

"Tim... that's very mature of you. I accept your apology and I hope you understand that doesn't mean we are friends. After years... that simply means I don't dislike you. Is that fair?"

"It's the best I could ask for. Seeing as we are getting on a new start could you help me out? I apologized to Rosa and she said getting those damn safety forms out would be punishing enough. I won't catch everyone before lunch and HR is on her to have those catalogued by the close of business. She left them running in the copy room for me."

Oh dear. That's impossible, especially with the Chied Officers always being so busy. Since it's really for Rosa after all how could this go wrong?

"Of course, tell you a secret. The CEO and all of them never sign those. It's the secretaries. The rest of them are too busy and never remember to ask."

"Sarah, that's diabolical. I'm starting to think we could be great friends some day..."

He lets that last pet hang in the Air as Sarah goes to the copy room door. Tim moves forward to unlock it and holds the door open.

"Ladies first." And he shoves her inside.
