Moongate

You wake up surprisingly refreshed the next morning - you've never been a friend of sleeping on the ground - and are greeted by Ari. {if Party: Cenys = 1}Cenys is still sleeping in your arms, a peaceful look on her face. She really is a beauty, and you're glad about your decision to make her your wife. Despite this island offering you all the women you could ever want, Cenys is a special little flower.

You softly kiss her awake.{endif} Ten minutes later, you are ready to start the second day of your journey. Mountains appear in the distance, and the hills around you are slowly getting higher. The road is steep at times and you have to make a few pauses{if Party: Cenys = 1} since Cenys isn't used to physical activity{endif}.

In the early afternoon, you can see the golden roofs of moongate glitter in the sun. You enter a narrow vale where a small river flows next to the road, and the city unveils itself in the twilight of the last sunrays falling over the western foothills. Nestled comfortably between the steep mountainsides, the city is well protected by the layers of plateaus and cliffs it was built on, connected only by stone stairs and bridges. Several small waterfalls eventually collect in a lake that feeds the little river that has accompanied you since you entered the valley.

The two guards on the first fortified platform, pretty night elves in gold and red lamellar armor, welcome you with big eyes and many questions, but let you pass in the end. A stone walkway with several flights of stairs leads over the lake to the next platform, with a small waterfall passing close by the path and spraying you with cool water.
