Modified Starro

Something sinister is brewing in the labs of Lexcorp, as per usual, but the hubris of Lex Luthor has reached new levels as he attempts to modify the parasitic alien Starro to his own desires. The latest batch has produced a promising subject, fully separated from the mental link that binds most Starro to their queens and capable of rapid reproduction with minimal defects. Currently the hapless drone is trapped within a stasis field, after undergoing rigorous and deadly experiments that killed many of its brethren.

Description: A bluish parasite resembling a starfish, roughly a foot wide from limb to limb, possessing a single red eye opposite its "mouth".

Life Cycle: Can slowly divide into two identical copies of itself or undergo a "breeding ball" by finding a safe place to split into several dozen Starro's.

Special Traits: Though it is quite weak it can attach itself to its host anywhere on their body, supplanting their nervous system and motor control within 60 seconds, allowing the Starro full control over their body. By ingesting organic material from their host they can choose to assimilate some of its biology with the intent of improving itself.
