Melody reveals some hidden depths.

As the two fighters reach each other, Melody surprises everyone by raising her arms into the starting position for a test of strength.

“Melody either knows something we don’t, or she’s getting way too cocky way too fast,” the announcer says.

Athena apparently thinks it’s the latter, because another one of her patented smug smirks grows on her face as she accepts the challenge. But it quickly disappears when, instead of forcing Melody back with ease, her push is stopped cold!

A grin spreads across Melody's face as Athena’s eyes widen, but before the blonde Goddess can increase her efforts, your partner snaps forward and slams into her with a headbutt that sends her reeling. You and the crowd both cheer wildly as Athena collapses to the mat, dazed. Melody glances at her stunned opponent, and then her smile becomes positively wicked as she heads to the corner and starts climbing the ropes.

The announcer perks up. "Oh, I think we're in for a big one here, everybody. Melody doesn't usually go for the aerial moves, but when she does, she does not fuck around."

Since when does she go for aerial moves at all? Maybe she's getting better at this than she's been letting on.

But your train of thought is interrupted by the sight of Aphrodite rushing over to bail her partner out of trouble. Shouting in alarm, you hurry to intercept her--if she makes it to the turnbuckle first, she can easily upset Melody's balance, and it's a long way down from the top rope...
