Melody goes first.

Swallowing hard, Melody hesitantly advances as you duck out of the ring. She’s quite a feast for the eyes in her tight, lacy lingerie, but her posture is tense and drawn-in. She’s too worried about what’s next to project the confidence any performer needs, erotic or otherwise...and you can tell it’s about to become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

It’s a hell of a contrast comparing her to Athena—the martial half of the Goddesses moves with an easy, practiced stride, totally unconcerned with the coming confrontation.

I guess if I can see what’s wrong with my partner, she probably can too.

Athena puts her fists up as they close in and Melody takes the bait, swinging a clumsy punch at Athena’s head. The Goddess easily dodges aside, grabbing the arm as she goes. From there, she twirls around behind Melody and shoves it up toward her opposite shoulder blade in a painful-looking hammerlock. You wince at the pained scream it draws out of your partner, though the pop from the crowd drowns it out in a moment.

The whole thing took barely ten seconds.

Athena laughs mockingly at Melody, the first sound that’s escaped her lips since she walked down the ramp. You lean forward over the ropes, hoping to tag out and relieve her so that you can take Athena on yourself, and try not to look at Aphrodite winking and blowing a kiss at you from across the ring.

It only takes a couple steps for Melody to maneuver herself toward you, free arm outstretched. You reach toward her, almost touching her hand—it’s just a few inches away—

And Athena wrenches her backwards, yanking her away from a tag out and putting a fresh wave of strain on her arm. She screams again, wordlessly, half pain and half frustration.

“Fuck!” you snarl viciously as you’re **** to pull back.

“Now that was just mean,” the announcer commiserates as Athena smirks at you.

I’m gonna wipe that smug fucking expression off your face, you think to yourself.

But that might be difficult if you can’t tag in...
