Chapter 10 by bobbobbobthethir bobbobbobthethir

What's next?

Math Class

You find a seat in the classroom, scanning over the faces of other students to see if there’s anyone attractive. There’s Christina, of course, and then, in the corner, a blonde who’s got impeccable make-up on and a dress that looks like it was hand-sewn in Italy.

Then, the professor walks in, and all the guys in the class instantly have their eyes on her. Professor Luck is young, in her mid-twenties at most, and she has a short-cropped brunette hair which tops off her slim figure.

“I hope you’ve had a restful weekend,” Professor Luck says, “because this week is going to be a tough one. As you all know by now, we’ll be building off the proofs assigned as homework in class, and as usual, you guys will be the ones working it out live. I’ll be here to help out in case you run into trouble. First, for some basic results in compactness.” She walks up to the blackboard and writes out two lemmas that look much simpler to prove than the stuff you worked on earlier.

Professor Luck looks down at a sheet of paper, giving you time to scribble down the lines in your notebook, before she calls out: “Jerry, why don’t you handle these two?”

A short guy wearing a button-down shirt nervously gets up and makes his way to the front of the room, where he picks up the chalk and stares at the board, obviously a little frightened. After about 10 seconds of silence, Professor Luck picks up her chalk and writes a line on the board.

“Does this help at all?” she asks. To you, she’s just made the solution blindingly clear, but Jerry shakes his head, staring at the rest of the class now with very wide eyes.

“That’s alright. Does anyone else in the class have any ideas?” she asks, immediately picking on one of the hands that shoots up.

A guy with a nasal voice and a cocky attitude begins to launch into an explanation that, while seemingly correct, is far too convoluted and lengthy to be of use to anyone. The professor looks almost relieved by the time he is finished talking, and Jerry seems to have worked out the answer in that time, independent of whatever that guy was saying. Professor Luck thanks Jerry, and he slinks back to his seat, sinking deep into it the moment he sits down.

The rest of the class continues, with others being called up to the blackboard, most experiencing more success than Jerry. With ten minutes remaining, Professor Luck heads up to the chalkboard and writes out one last theorem.

“This one’s a bit tricky,” she says, as you stare at her delicious ass while she keeps writing. “But I think it might just be doable with what you guys know. Let’s have… hm… “ she turns around and surveys the class, her eyes drifting over students, until they settle on you. You think you see her briefly checking you out, before she asks: “You, in the t-shirt - what’s your name?”

“Alex,” you say.

“Alex, great to see you at last! Want to come up?”

With that, you get up to the board, reading over the problem while Professor Luck gives you a sunny smile.
