Chapter 2
by Vorhees
Where does the Deep One appear?
Marvel Universe
The Piscine Abomination emerged from the portal, his body trembling and crackling with residual energy from the teletransportation portal. It took him a minute to recover from the ordeal.
Deep Ones were not accostumed to the rigors of interdimensional travel, but their sages and sorcerors had developed certain rituals through millennia for such purpose. The Essence of Tindalos, named after the dreaded Hounds themselves, allowed the caster to tap into the fearsome power of the beasts in order to jump through dimensions at the cost of suffering the excruciating pain of having his or her atoms dissolved and then rearranged at the desired destination.
Yog-Sothoth, the Key and the Gate, had smiled at him that day. His human disguise hadn't been broken by the travel. The Deep One attempted to say a thankful prayer to the Outer God, but laughed with amusement after realizing his new tongue was unable to utter the ancient language of R'lyeh.
It didn't matter.
What mattered was He had reached the desired destination. He was in some human city. An important one, judging by the towering buildings at the distance. Humans were funny, he thought. Even their largest buildings were nothing but huts when compared to the abyssal cities in R'lyeh and the Marianas Trench.
The Deep One, now looking like a tall and handsome man of pale skin and black hair; walked out from the forsaken alley he had appeared in and quickly melded into a crowd. It didn't took long before he learned how special this world was.
It had individuals with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men. A quick read through a newspaper found on a bench, informed him of people such as "The Avengers", a sort of an arachnid monster that menaced the city (A servitor of Atlach-Nacha the Spider Goddess, perhaps? He would investigate that later), some sort of feared subhumans known as the "X-men"; and a group of adventurers called the "Fantastic Four".
And some of said groups had very powerful women in their ranks, as far as he could see from a few images on the newspaper. If only he could reach and mate with them... What sort of mighty children would they bear for him?
"Ow!"
A human crashed into him as he was reading the newspaper in a corner. The Deep One staggered back, both confused and slightly angered by such offense. He was about to chastice such insolence by unleashing a plague spell on his ignorant attacker, when he was greet by the sight of a beautiful woman with bright red hair and green eyes.
The woman had wide hips and large breasts, clear indicatives of an increased fertility and potential as a mother. Or at least that was he knew about humans. She was carrying a big paper bag filled with (at least he thought) was human food.
"Excuse me, excuse me! I was talking on the phone and didn't see you there! Oh, i'm so sorry! I'm so sorry, sir!"
"It's nothing." He whispered with a raspy voice. "Don't worry, Miss..."
"Watson. Mary Jane Watson. Again, i'm so sorry! Were you hurt, Mr...?"
The Deep One smiled.
She didn't seem as one of the special humans of this world.
But the redhead would be a good start.
"Marsh. Robert Marsh." He said. It wasn't his actual name, but was the only human one he remembered from the short time he spent on Innsmouth a few decades ago. He had forgotten about the human name he was born with hundreds of years ago.
"I'm so sorry, Mr. Marsh... are you sure you're okay? Is there anything i can do for you?" The pheromones were working, he thought. He could feel the rhythm from the woman's heartbeats going faster and faster, thanks to his Detection spell.
"Well, actually..."
They head to Mary Jane's apartment for coffee
