Marigold disposes of the evidence.

Marigold couldn't believe what she had done-- what she was still doing. When she looked down at the handy little device in her hand, she could still see two of her fingers pushing through the portal, still feel the tight, wet, and warm thing of Lynn's clamping down around her fingers. "Oh no," Marigold whispered. "Oh no no no." The people at church would never forgive her for this. She couldn't even think about what would happen when she confessed to her mistake. This had to be punishment for her earlier curiosity, and she knew what she had to do.

She had to get away. She had to dispose of the portal that had come into her possession like an act of God-- or probably the Devil-- and make sure that no one would ever find it again. And then that would be that!

Not far away, Lynn was still twitching, shivering. What she was feeling just didn't make sense. She recognized this sensation but there was no way that this could be happening-- especially not here, and not now. She gritted her teeth and stared down her fellow cosplayer. "Joy," she hissed. "Do not fuck with me right now. I told you I need your help."

Joy rolled her eyes and sigh. "What is it, Lynn?" she snapped.

"I can't talk about it here," Lynn said. "Come on. We have to go back to the hotel room and we can figure it out from there."

"Are you kidding me?" Joy said.

Lynn didn't answer and grabbed her by the wrist, dragging her away from their business before she could complain any longer.

Marigold, not far away, had figured out what she would do with the portal device. There were garbage cans all around the convention hall! It was simple. She shuffled over to one, feigning nonchalance, and then dumped it inside without a second glance. So quick and so easy, and now she would never need to deal with such a horrible thing ever again.
