Make a shop area

"What? Just like a village market? I can do that." John was surprised to hear such a simple request for such an ambitious game.

"Well...I meant just like the interior of a shop but...I guess a market-style would work too." Holly was clearly caught off guard by such confidence from someone who had never worked with something like this but nonetheless, she showed him to the area she wanted the shop in and gave him a basic rundown of how to create something with the controls. Once she was satisfied that he was ready, she walked back to the terminal she was at before and kept working on her own thing.

John got started on the market. He pulled up a couple reference images in his peripherals so that he could have a starting point. He decided on a circular plaza with a fountain in the middle and shops around the outside of a brick pathway. He also thought back to the first time he joined this game and imported the same skybox that he had seen. Once he pulled his eyes away from the beautiful sky with the sun just above the horizon, minutes before what would be sunset, he scrolled through a few pre-made assets looking for a fountain he liked. THIS was more like what he had expected from this game. All of the pre-made assets were either basic fountains that every creation game had or community created, crudely made naked women or just plain crude images of some kind or another.

John shook his head and set about making his own fountain. Over the course of hours, he sculpted a beautiful stone fountain with a shin high bench/wall and statues of four detailed winged human-like figures facing each of the cardinal directions. North was a typical angelic representation while South was a slightly toned done version of a demonic figure that he loved to include in everything he worked on. East and West were much different in that they were modeled heavily after John and Holly which had taken the bulk of the time. Each statue was holding some form of vase that was pouring water into the pool beneath them. John looked at the clock and saw how much time he had spent on the fountain so he hurried to finish the rest of the market before Holly saw how little he had done and got upset. He quickly imported a few market stalls with different colored awnings on the front and a couple tents that could be home to those offering services instead of goods. The last thing to add was a cobblestone path that went around the fountain and a couple benches between the shops for those that wanted to watch the fountain.

Holly had been monitoring John's progress for a while with a live feed of the area he was working on overlaid on her vision. At first she was getting upset at how little work he was actually doing but quickly saw the level of detail he was adding to the fountain and...WAIT! WAS THAT HER FACE?! Had he really sculpted her face into the fountain? She looked away, blushing slightly at seeing her own face in stonework like she was a piece of art. She continued with her work, stealing glances at the market and seeing how wonderful it looked before seeing the statue again and looking away. She finally enlarged it so it was fully in view and looked it over. Then she noticed John's face on the fountain too and couldn't help but shake her head. It was an interesting choice but not a terrible one.

"So what do you think?" Holly jumped as John leaned into her vision from behind her, catching her caught in her inner thoughts.
