Mage

After pondering for a while you reach out and touch the "Mage" button and confirm it as your class. Suddenly all the colors flowing around you turn red and begin to seep into you, you can feel something deep inside you change, and then you wake up. "what a strange dream." you mutter groggily, you squint your eyes at the rising sun and lay back down, deciding to head into the city a bit later. While you lay on the ground you feel distant memories begin to surface. Way back when you were a little kid you dreamed of being an arch mage with magic so strong it could wipe out an entire floor of the tower at once, but it seemed like an unattainable goal until now due to having to work for 14 hours a day just to feed yourself and pay for space in a barn to sleep, but ever so slowly you saved whatever money you could and on your 19th birthday you decided it was now or never and set off for Frostfall. It all seems so distant now as you lay on the ground lost in your thoughts.

After quite some time you get up and prepare to go into Frostfall and more importantly, to enter the tower for the first time. You gather up your meager possessions and enter the capital city, the city is alive with the hustle and bustle of countless hunters, equipment vendors and various other assorted buildings like guild halls and of course, the tower itself. The tower sits at the dead center of the city and is large enough to contain a city of its own, the base of the tower measures 1 square mile and each of the 100 floors is roughly 200 feet tall making it the largest building ever imagined, it stands so tall that only on the clearest of days can the very top be seen from the ground.

As you approach the entrance to the tower you stare in awe at its sheer scale, you wonder how many monster girls could be inside the grey behemoth. Finally you make it to the entrance, a large stone archway with a light blue magical shield in it to prevent the monster girls from leaving that is the remnants of the great mage's soul energy, a large crack is running along the surface of the shield meaning that his soul is beginning to fade away along with the power keeping the monster girls trapped in the tower.

After taking a deep breath you clutch your dagger in its sheath and step through the blue shield. The inside of the tower is even more magnificent than the outside, a short hallway leads to a massive hall that 4 other hallways branch off of, countless magical lamps line the ceiling and the walls giving off a warm orange light just bright enough to see. Bewildered, you stare at the other hallways wondering which way to go, the leftmost hallway has deep gouges on the walls and you can hear a scratching noise coming from it, the middle-left hallway seems to open up into a large room but you cannot see any further into it, the middle-right hallway seems to be normal until you see a human skull laying on the ground, it seems old but it is still very unsettling, the right most hallway you can hear running water and faint breathing noises coming from it.
