Lynx, 19, Catboy - Caught by slavers

Sharpened spear held read in your hands, you creep up on the hare grazing among the clovers, the tip of your tail twitching and ears pricked forward. You made sure you're upwind of your prey, so the scent of the hare fills your nostrils, making your senses sings. Your mouth waters in anticipation. Just a little closer...

Your stomach growls and the hare jerks its head up. You lunge, your spearpoint sinking into the ground as the hare dashes away.

"Son-of-a-bitch!" you snarl. You haven't eaten since yesterday and you're starting to get ****. You head back toward your camp, your ears drooping. There's always mushrooms and lichen, but...yuck.

Suddenly the scent of fresh meat wafts through the air. You scent the wind, turning toward the smell, and follow it into the trees. An old game trail leads you to a clearing, where you are startled to find the haunch of a deer lying in the fir needles. Something has a made a kill and left part of their prize behind.

You sniff around, looking for the scents of wolf, puma, or dragon, but all you find is some faint traces of human. Hunters, careless ones. Lucky for you.

It won't be long before other scavengers catch the scent, and you don't want to try fighting coyotes for your dinner, so you hurry over and grab the haunch by the leg. You've no sooner touched i than the snare springs, a noose of thin wire closing around your wrist. A thick, green sapling springs up, hauling your arm up over your head and forcing you up on your toes to keep the wire from biting into your flesh.

You hiss, the sound fading to a frightened and pained mewl as you dangle in the middle of the clearing, your toes barely touching the forest floor. You can feel blood running down your arm and your fingers tingle. If you can't get free, it's a good chance you'll lose your hand.
