Lunch time revelations

Lunch went by quickly as they ate at a table with Allie and Madison. Allie toke on the role of doting husband and took care of all of Madison's needs from getting her food and cutting it up for her to asking about her morning and stroking her ego. Madison ate it up, she loved how daddy did it for mom and she now reveled in the attention from Allie. Fortunately D'Shawna wasn't so demanding but Cole found himself doing a few little things for her that made her smile. Whenever he noticed her looking at him with a small smile he felt his heart flutter. Damn, when did he become such a little prissy boy all caught up in some schoolboy fantasy. He had hopes and dreams he can't go losing himself in some romance even if it was his dreamgirl. On the other hand D'Shawna has been incredibly supportive and she is so damn handsome, did he dare pass and miss on something that has felt so amazing all day?

"Hey are you ok?" D'Shawna whispered

"Yea, No I don't know I've been so overwhelmed and all over the place today." He felt her squeeze his hand and he felt so safe secure and grounded. He looked over at her face seeing a serious look.

"You've got this."

You've got this. That one utterance by her meant everything to him. She was in his corner she had his back. He wasn't alone she knew about his dreams of being a doctor and he didn't laugh or call him silly. No she supports it.

He leaned into her as she put her arm around him He leaned into her strong chest and listened to her heartbeat. He felt her place a kiss on the top of head and her tousle his hair.

"EWWW. Playing the sister card her. D"

"What are so saying I cant provide moral support for my wife Mads." D'Shana chuckled

As her laughter spread to the whole table Cole realized that this year didn't feel so scary after all, he will find a way.

The rest of school seemed to breeze by. He answered things confidently and correctly during Bio Lab and the last two were English and drawing the one elective he allowed himself to wind down and show he wasn't all school no fun. The fact he was actually a strong drawer helped as well.
