Lunch invitation.

Jeff went upstairs, presumably to shower and change while Beth finished up Paul's lesson, and gave him the scales and arpeggios to practice for next week. She enjoyed the summer lessons with Paul; it was nice to get them out of the way early in the day. When school started again, they would go back to having a lesson at 4:00 PM, which she liked less.
As she gathered her things, the doorbell rang. Jeff came down the stairs to open the front door, revealing a pizza delivery man.
"Are you hungry, Miss Wilson?" Jeff set the pizza boxes on the kitchen table, and turned to smile at her. She bit her lip. He's so cute....
"I really should get going."
"Oh? I thought Paul said he was your only student on Fridays."
"Yes."
"So, you don't have to get to another lesson. I ordered a lot of pizza. Help us out." He smiled again, practically a roguish grin.
"....I do like pizza...." she had to admit, it was a strong temptation. She'd been trying to avoid "junk food" so she would be trim for her wedding pictures.
A few minutes later, she found herself enjoying a slice or two with the Henderson boys. While Paul chattered away about music and Xbox, Jeff spent his time not-so-subtly looking in her direction. Beth wasn't sure if she should feel uncomfortable or not: Jeff had penetrating eyes, and she blushed when she made eye contact with him. He only smiled; It was far too knowing a smile for a kid his age.
"Jeff? Can I go play on your Xbox?"
"Sure thing, kiddo. Just wash your hands first. I don't want pizza grease on my controller." Jeff didn't look away from Beth while he spoke. Paul washed his hands and bounded up the stairs after giving Beth a quick "see you next week, Miss Wilson!"
