Looting (yay!)

"I still have to study those orbs, figure out how to deal with the skeleton, and collect what I can from this room." The orbs are floating a few cm above the ground, spinning slowly around. As you look closer at it, it looks like it's made of a blue glass-like material, with small stars inside it, Quite pretty, though your not sure if that information would be helpful in any way.

You think back to the sound of coins and opening of chest you heard when you poofed the first orb. "it didn't leave any physical coins, so..." You open your interface and You notice that there is a new quest tab on it, and the inventory tab has a small star next it.

"The quest tab is probably just to help me keep track of what this system wants me to do..." You tap on to make sure, and indeed your [Leave the cave] quest is there. You work your way back to the previous menu and open your inventory with the star this time.

As expected, your currency display has changed from 0 to 2, plus there's now an item in your previously bare inventory. You press the item's icon and it materializes into your hand

New Item: Tattered cloak
A worn cloak with a nifty hood. Conceals the wear's face and body, a favorite of cultists and thieves.

The cloak seems to be made of an unknown black cloth, with some scratches and stains here and there. You would have preferred some shoes to protect you from occasionally pointy pebbles on the floor but it's better than nothing.

You glance over at your little skeleton friend, catching it trying to take another nibble at your ankles. You sigh, sitting down and pulling the little rascal into your lap, before wrapping the cloak around it like a baby swaddle, "Now if you're gonna act like a child, then i'll treat you like one, got it?" you chide, vaguely feeling like you've just upgraded from skeleton babysitter to skeleton mother.

You cradle your new bone baby with one arm, as you brainstorm what to do with the remaining two orbs. You decide to do some test first as you take your rusty axe from the inventory. You tap the orb with the back end of the axe, with no reaction, You try smashing the orb which seems to only leave a new crack on the tiled floor, the orb remaining unblemished. After a few more tests, you settle for maneuvering the orb through the skeleton's eye socket and storing the thing in its skull. You conclude the orb is indestructible or at least very hard, and it wont scatter into blue dust as long as you don't touch it directly. satisfied with these results you tap the last orb with your foot, too lazy to bend over for it, as it dissipates into blue dust as well. You consider storing or inhaling the stuff but listen to your better judgement for now

You check your inventory to see what you got, only to be disappointed. Your wealth has grown to 5 coins from your previous 2, but you didn’t get any items. “So they’re random like loot boxes from my old world?”, You consider poofing, the remaining orb you stored in the skeletons skull in hopes of getting some proper footwear this time, ”I already got one blank so I should be more likely to get something good this time right...?” You mutter, your hand unconsciously drifting to the skeleton’s skull you stored the orb. “No this is the exact mindset casinos and greedy capitalists wants people to have, Emma you’re better than this…” You take your hand back reluctantly, since you want to keep one orb incase you discover a better use later for them later. They could be valuable in this world and the fact the skeleton could touch them implies you might be able to sell them for a good amount of starting cash, or coins. You move to collect rest of the resources in the room for now, including the torches along the walls some floor tiles, you dug out with the axe, and more rock, putting them in your inventory. Now your ready to go!

Hey it's me the one who's writing this particular branch of this story, and well just putting this here to say i'm going on a hiatus for this one, not that I think anyone would care too much but, I mean, just putting it out there in case, and to say if anyone wants to take over from here, it'd be great. This chapter is a rough draft but i'll probably revise it later so sorry for any roughness. For this whole branch of the story I was going for a vibe similar to this one novel I read, call 'overly cautious hero' or something like that for the main character, and have her explore this world in her own way but i'll probably come back to this at some point. This is like the first time I wrote something and i even had Selzara's as a base but still struggled so mad respect for all the writers who can focus and write a story for years and stuff. anyway thats enough out of me, have a great masturbation to all ya'll beautiful ladies and gentlemen wherever you are!
