Look at the lines

Jake approached the mirror. The strange lines on it became clearer – there were two drawings. The one on the left showed an eye, with a flame instead of a pupil. The one on the right depicted a tree, with roots that covered a ball.

Suddenly, writing appeared beneath the images. The slanted writing was just legible.
