Look at the dolls

Jake approached the middle of the room, and looked at the dolls. They were very lifelike — each doll wore clothes, had hair, and had an expression in its face that looked like terror.

Jake picked one up. This doll wore a simple red tunic, with golden embroidery, that only covered one of his shoulders. He had short, black hair, a large nose, and olive skin. Jake thought that he looked Mediterranean. The doll's dark eyes stared at him, telling him to run.

Jake picked up another doll. This one was dressed in modern clothes — jeans and a t-shirt — with red hair, and blue eyes. His mouth was open, as if in a scream, and Jake could even see individual teeth.

"These dolls are very realistic", he murmured to himself.

The dolls seemed to stare at Jake. He stared back at them. {if@ Doll=false}Then, Jake noticed a doll he hadn't seen before. Carefully, he picked it up. The doll had brown hair and green eyes, and wore a t-shirt and jeans. Jake felt a shiver run down his spine. The doll looked exactly like he did, down to the clothes he had been wearing when he entered the house. Like the other dolls, this one was also wearing a look of terror. Jake wondered if this was telling the future; that something terrifying was about to appear.

As soon as he thought this, Jake had the feeling he was being watched.
