Locked

The handle did not budge. Her room is locked!

... Seriously? Did she really lock her door? She must have known I would try and get my clothes back. Damn she must really want me to stay naked. I'm not even asking for my wardrobe back, I just need something to wear so I can buy new clothes after school!

Whatever. There's gotta be other clothes lying around this house somewhere.

Unfortunately, however, mine and Ashley's rooms are the only rooms on the top floor, besides a bathroom and guest bedroom, which is almost always completely empty. Which means I'll have to take this search downstairs.

Usually, my parents are asleep at this time since they work evening and night shifts at the local 24 hour pharmacy, so I still should be the only one out and about right now.

I turn around and see that the coast is clear, at least from what I can see, so I slowly make my way towards the stairs. These stairs creak a bit, so I remind myself to step lightly before I take my first step down so I don't alert anyone else in the house that a naked Emily is sneaking around.

Miraculously making minimal noise, I reach the bottom of the staircase. I decide to try the laundry room, hopefully there's some finished laundry that hasn't yet been returned to its rightful room. Hell, at this point I'll take dirty laundry if that's all that's left.

I peek around the corner down the hall containing the laundry room and see no sign of activity, so I clutch my bedsheet tightly and head down the hall.

"This is it, I'm home free!" I think to myself as I close in on the laundry room.

It wouldn't be that easy, though. I reach the door, which is on the left side of the hall, and round the corner through the doorway when I bump into...
