Lift off

“Mission control, this is Venus One, we are all ready up here.” Amanda said over the radio

“Have a safe flight.” The cap-com called back.

As the countdown reached zero, everything began to shake.

“Yea-haw!” Charlie yelled as the Rocket lifted off.

“Kid... knock it off.” Chloe said.

“Give him a break, it’s his first trip.” Becca said. “It’s not like your first time... crying for your daddy the whole way up...”

About a day later, their cramped capsule docked with their deep space transport that would carry them to the red planet.

The six went to their quarters to change out of their pressure suits. Thfree of the five women were somewhat disappointed when Charlie floated back in a blue flight suit instead of something more masculine. He had his long, auburn hair tied behind him in a ponytail and was wearing sneakers.

“Alright, first order of business, anyone feeling space sick?” He asked.

“Chill our and enjoy the moment...” Amanda said “ that’s an order young lady.”

Charlie made a fact

“Just trying to do my job...” he said as he floated away.
