"May I sit down next to you?" Freya asked, stroking her flowing, long locks of seaweed green hair.

"Uh... maybe," Jack said. "I just want to know what you think of all this first."

"All of this meaning...?" Freya raised one eyebrow slightly and cocked her head to the side.

"Meaning this whole 'take-human-men-" he didn't get to finish, as Freya already understood from that alone.

"Oh! That! Well, I can't say I'm not thankful for it, seeing my father's human. Matter of fact, every monster here - except the Grand Duchesses - have human fathers. It's pretty normal actually."

Jack shrugged. Over time, anything could become normal. "Okay, so, with that in mind, next question. What does your dad think about this?"

Freya paused, and frowned. She took a deep breath before continuing. "Well... my dad... he doesn't talk about it much, but I know he misses his home. Sometimes I hear him talking to himself about his family back home. Home being the earth. He doesn't talk about them much but... I know he misses them greatly. And to be honest, I do as well."

Jack blinked. "Have you met them?"

"I've never even left Granger but... the way dad talks about them, they sound like wonderful people. It's hard, having a family you've never met and will never even know you exist."

Jack frowned, taken aback by this. He'd never considered this could be one issue of the way this place was run. But now, it was front and center. "Wow uh... to be honest, I didn't have much of a family back home. My dad was abusive and my mom had a lot of baggage but they tried. I mean, really tried. It just... didn't work." Jack went silent, remembering the arguments that never ended.

"Darn," Freya said, "sounds like your life sucked."

"Yup. So, what's it like here?" Jack said, changing the topic. "Like, what do I have to expect in this place?"

"Well," Freya said, blushing sharply, "sex. Twenty-four seven. You might not be involved, but there's always some horny couple getting it on somewhere in the Grange."

Jack hummed. "I know there's an Inn of Grand Orgies-"

"Grand Inn of Orgies-"

"Whatever, but as I was saying, it can't be like there's a couple fucking everywhere, right?"

Freya gave him a knowing look, smiling. "Uh, about that... I'm going to bet you ran into some dryads?"

Jack blinked, and shook his head, then brightened. "Actually, three of them were having a foursome with a guy. Which apparently isn't allowed here?"

Freya giggled. "Okay, attempted foursome is kind of unusual, but stuff like that happens all the time. Like, all the time. In every place. Once, I found a kitsune and her husband making fox kits on that very rock, and when I tried to leave, what should I find but a dryad getting seeded?"

Jack sighed. "Judging by the word choice-"

"Yup. This place is ruled by Tiamat, Mother of Monsters. It's really into sex and carnal pleasures. So, we're pretty okay with having sex anywhere, but there are some rules. For example, no harems-"

"I know about that one, and the whole no foursomes outside the Grand Inn. Why were these rules even made in the first place?"

Freya chuckled. "Well, harems aren't allowed because then there's not enough partners to go around, for both humans and monsters. As for the latter, group sex beyond three partners is regarded as something which should be done with the utmost care and decency."

Jack burst out laughing. "I'm sorry, decency?!"

Freya sighed. "Yes, even Tiamat has standards. The way she sees it - and I swear, I'm not making this up - three can have a good time in public but four? To the Grand Inn with you, because then it's an orgy and orgies get out of control here."

Jack grunted. "I'm never going to that place then."

"I know what you mean!" Freya sighed, now approaching Jack who didn't protest this time. "I've had so many friends brag about going there, but I have no interest in trying. I've seen it, and it's very impressive, but I could smell the sex from it. And it was... oh God, I could even hear it! It's just... never ending!"

Jack laughed, and let Freya sit next to him. "Quick question," she said, holding up one finger, "why aren't you wearing pants?"

"I didn't want them to get wet." Jack admitted. Freya shrugged.

"Okay, I get that but..." then she glanced to the side, "uh... okay, this is going to sound weird but... I have something to ask you."

"Shoot," Jack said.
