"No, not necessarily. But I need to be able to make the decision to access any available information. Perhaps the human traffickers will contact you to bribe you or trick you into giving away you location."

"I wouldn't be that careless!" you exclaim, trying to re establish the banter from before. "But I understand."

Suddenly the situation really hits you. Your going to be stuck here for a whole year! "I guess it was pretty stupid."

Jess must sense your turmoil because her face softens a bit. "Hey, I said careless. You were just trying save those girls. And you did! You freed 25 slaves from a brutal system of **** prostitution. I'm glad you did it, it was brave."

As she talks you're simply signing away on all the blank lines you see. "Do you know what will happen to them?"

"I'm afraid I don't. The nature of their... **** labor... often leads to a difficult recovery. Shame and trauma will never let those women be the same again. "

You try to stay calm as sickening images rise up like bile.

She touches your arm, "but they have a chance they never would have had otherwise."

You nod fiercly.

Now Jess seems like she's focusing on choosing her words carefully and deliberately, "I know you were debriefed by one of the internal therapists, but if you want someone to talk to, you can talk to me about it. I know it's hard, seeing those horrible things. You can never get used it."
