Let's Go For A Hike!

"How about we go for a hike, Melody." You ask, shrugging.

"Where to?" Melody asked.

"How about just around the area." You say. "Let's explore the area near our camp site." You guesture to the area around you with your arms.

"Sounds like fun." She smiles. She reaches into the tent and grabs a baseball cap. She puts it on her head and adjusts it so it fits. "Okay, I'm all set. Let's go."

"All right." You agree and the two of you walk off into the woods. Everything looks more or the less the same. Trees, bushes, some rocks; it would be easy to get lost if it weren't for your good sense of direction. The two of you watch squirrels run on overhead branches and even see a deer scamper off in the distance.

The sun is beating down overhead and you can feel the heat starting to get to you. You look over and you can see sweat beading on Melody's forehead as well. It had gotten even hotter since you got here and you are starting to pant.

Suddenly, you stumble upon a small lake just over a short hill. You hurry up to the top of the hill and look into the clear blue field that looks unbelievably inticing to your overheated body.

"Oh wow." Melody says as she approaches the hill next to you. "That lake is like pure blue!" She takes off her hat and wipes her brow. "Damn, that water would feel really good right now."

"Too bad we didn't bring our bathing suits on the hike with us." You say.

"Yeah..." She says slowly. "Too bad."

You pause and think to yourself. Well...you don't really need your bathing suit, do you? The water is almost too inviting to pass up.
