"God, you a good co-" The **** stopped midsentence, a six-inch blade lodged in his throat. Gabrielle pulled off his dick and screamed as another, shorter knife took him in the side of the head. He collapsed like a pile of bricks, dead as a doornail. The girl was covering her face when Cad approached, first making sure the body was cold.

The girl stopped covering herself, her face still a mess from the brutal throatfucking, and scowled at the man's body. Cad approached the girl. "Are you hurt, ma'am?" He asked, offering her a hand. She looked up, seeming to recognize the costume, before wiping the spit off her mouth.

"I wish you could have gotten here sooner, bastard" she growled, before descending into a coughing fit. "Goddamn creepy son of a BITCH!" She gave his body a swift kick in the jaw, turning his bloody head.

"I apologize, I got here as fast as I could," Cloak and Dagger lied, not needing to burden her with the truth. "Do you need medical attention?"

"No, I'm fine just..." She crossed her arms over her chest, still glaring at the dead body. "Can you wait in the living room for a second? I need to get dressed." Cad nodded silently, slipping out of the room and closing the door. He could hear her cursing and kicking the body, but elected to leave her to it.

After a few minutes, she emerged from her room in a t-shirt. She'd also cleaned the saliva off her face. She looked much more subdued now, much more mellow than before.

"Hey, I'd like to properly thank you for saving me. It ain't your fault that **** piece of trash..." She took a deep breath. "Sorry if I reacted harshly, I just felt... violated..."

"You have nothing to apologize for, ma'am. You should call 911. You'll want to explain to a police officer what occurred. Don't want you to get in any trouble."

Gabrielle nodded and then, after a brief hesitation, leaned forward and gave Cad a quick peck on the cheek. Stepping back and blushing, she looked down at the floor. "I'm Gabrielle, by the way. I... I'm sorry I can't thank you more right now. I'll... do more in the future, I swear."

"Like I said," you reply, smiling. "You have nothing to apologize for." Cad gave her body one more appreciative look over before escaping out the same window he entered.

As he entered the night air, he saw a drone buzzing around the corner. From the looks of it, it was one of Swarm's drones. She was another young hero looking for fame, using her drones to patrol and fight crime. Cad decided to let it go, having bigger fish to fry.
