Chapter 3
by lilguy
To break the silence, what does Sarah do?
Leave
Sarah decided to leave the two twin teachers because she had something else in mind. She always had a crush on her best friend, Phil Jackson. The two were freinds sense they were much younger and Sarah never made a move for fear of ruining the friendship. The thing that bothered her most was that he was going to a far away college. Sarah knew it was now or never to make a move on her long time crush. Maybe she could convince him to go to a college that was closer. She remembered he'd recieved plenty of acceptance letters from differnt colleges.
Phil Jackson was a very handsome, black male. He was slighty shy and very quiet around most women and that was what attracted Sarah. She looked at the clock on the wall, Phil would soon be getting out of class. Sarah made her way through the halls and waited by the door for Phil.
"Hey Phil," She said smiling innocently.
"Hi Sarah, what are you up to?" He asked.
"Nothing... yet. How about you and I ditch this place and go somewhere?" she answered.
"But we still have one more class..." protested Phil.
"Oh come on! It's the last day of school and I want to show you something," She grabbing his hand.
"Trust me," she winked as she lead him.
The couple climbed into her car and took off. Their first stop as a small pizza shop where they picked up an order. The second stop was the last and it took them to a local park. Sarah leapt from the car and ran through a path between two big bushes. Phil followed carrying the pizza. He walked through the bushes and looked around. They were standing on a huge flat rock that stuck out of the side of the bank and overlooked the lake.
"Wow, this is amazing... I've never saw this before," Phil said.
"That is why you need to get your nose out of the books and explore sometimes," She grinned.
Sarah laid out a large white towel then reached into the bushes and brought out a small cooler. She reached inside and removed two bottles of beer, one for herself and one for Phil. Then she took a slice of the cheesey pizza. "I thought we could spend the day having a picnick before we go our seperate ways," She said.
"I see you put some planning in to this," he smiled, "but I don't drink," He finished.
"I've seen you drink before at parties and I am your best friend. You can't lie to me, besides it's our last day to live it up," she announced.
Phil took the bottle and said, "well ok."
They sat down and started talking, the conversation quickly lead to old times and the fun they'd shared. Sarah thought about the situation and wonderd if she should take this slow or fast.
How does she go about it?
